Description
Omega - Seamaster "the Cone" - 198.012 - Men - 1970-1979
Tuning fork - Steel - Box

Stainless steel casing: Diameter without the original Omega crown is approx. 41 mm. Height: approx. 13 mm. Signed casing base with the Seamaster logo.

De Omega f300hz Seamaster "Cone", the vintage tuning fork watch from the 70s. Special model because the crown is located at 2 o'clock!

Offered model has a wonderful grey dial and the special thing about this model is that the crown is located at 2 o'clock instead of the much less unique crown at 3 o'clock. A popular model amongst collectors.

The glass is new (OEM) and scratch-free. The watch has been serviced, certain parts have been replaced by OEM parts (please see photo).

This technically perfect model has always been well-maintained and runs great. Many of these watches are offered in polished condition, but then the mechanism turns out to be of poor quality, the gaskets are fused, or it was fitted with a wrong type of battery, which started leaking. This is definitely not the case with this watch.

The case has signs of wear that match a 40-year watch, the facet edges are intact. These are hardly perceptible to the naked eye and polishing is not necessary in my opinion.
