Ivory Okimono with a strong patina showing fishermen hanging a net in a tree in order to mend it, the net has some damage that isn't necessarily original, a dragonfly is sitting on the net. At their feet is a basket full of shells, clams and abalone. The mender is seated on a box of drawers on the ground. Signature under the base Hogyoku, Japon Meiji era, circa 1890. Height: 18.5 cm
