Weird! Early model 1953 Russian CCCP Soviet Kite Cap - Air Force - MiG-15 Yak-18 Yak-52 Yakovlev Yak-23
Russia - 1953

Offered is a rare and very early post-war original Russian leather aviator’s cap. This is not the standard leather aviator’s cap that is offered weekly, but a very early model (without padding on top) and provided with a makers label, dated: 1953. Used on board of, among others, the MiG-15, Yak-18 Yak-52, Yakovlev Yak-23 fighter jets aircrafts. Except for the CCCP Russian air force, these pilot’s helmets were also used by the Luftstreitkräfte der Nationalen Volksarmee (GDR) in the early days of the Luftstreitkräfte. This beautiful leather pilot’s cap is made of very smooth and high quality leather, and on the inside the microphone part is finished with chamois leather. Equipped with a complete (working) built-in radio communication set, this aviator helmet is in a good and beautiful condition. Connection points for the oxygen mask are present, as well as the attachment for goggles. Stunning and impressive decorative collectors item! The head depicted does not belong to this auction, neither is the pictured early Russian model aviator’s cap, which we auction separately during this auction (see our other auctions).

In the next few weeks we are auctioning various military aviation objects. For the current overview, please click on our name MilitariaShop (top left of this page).
