Tea caddy - .800 silver, Cobalt Glass - Hanau - Weinranck & Schmidt - Germany - Late 19th century
Good condition - used with small signs of aging & blemishes

A late 19th century German silver-mounted blue glass tea caddy, Hanau circa 1890, by Weinranck and Schmidt
Of oval form, the mounts decorated with female figures reaching for a ribbon tied laurel wreath, the edges decorated with bands of scrolls. The silver lid with a beaded band. Comes with the original glass stopper.

Marked to the lid with German assay mark and an indistinctly mark for Weinranck & Schmidt.

Condition - General impression is good. A crack to the rim of the silver lid. Glass with small frittings. One corner of the glass with an internal damage behind the silver mount.
