Seventies midboard brutalist:
stylish furniture item characterised by its sleek design, not marked but attributed to De Coene.
Black colour with a red finish. The cupboard also offers a lot of storage space due to its size. The wood is black but the wood grain is clearly visible and the black and red contrast makes it a real eye-catcher!
All doors open and close smoothly and the seven drawers work properly.
The cupboard is fully functional.
Brutalism was an architecture movement that was born from modernism. Brutalism had its heyday in the 1950s to the 1970s. Originally brutalism was mostly inspired by the Swiss architec Le Corbusier and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
