96/100 Wineanorak.com: "Sweet, spicy, warm elegant nose with cherry fruit, herbs and complex woody notes. Very attractive with a citrus peel character. The palate is dense, elegant and spicy with lovely bright berry fruits (still!) and warm spiciness. Lots of life left in this wine which has aged beautifully. Elegant and expressive".
96/100 Cellartracker: "High shoulder level with lots of fine sediment. Cork was moldy and fell into bottle even with ah-so. Problem eliminated with gentle decanting by sticking waiter's corkscrew into neck to keep cork away. Medium ruby to rim, no bricking. Effusive nose of leather, truffles and faded roses. Medium bodied palate with still firming acidity, no tannins. Long subtle and complex finish. Drank well over entire meal, changing ever so slightly over two hours. Last glass as good as first, maybe better".
