I’m offering a HÖHM model from 1970. The front is modelled after an OPEL from that time!
Models manufactured by Höhm were the most elaborate driving school models produced in the 1950s and 1960s, they were handmade and their technical condition was even regularly checked.
Each tiny detail was produced absolutely precisely and made of high-quality materials (stainless steel, chrome, etc.).
Everything on this model works.
The transmission has several gears, 2 forward gears and 1 reverse gear; By pressing the clutch, the engine is disconnected from the transmission, so that you can shift, just like you would shift in a real car.
The pistons move while the model is running, and the spark plugs light up in the sequence 2-4-1-3.
The lighting of the model is identical to a real car too, with parking light, low beam, indicators, etc.
As shown in the photos, these models have a very complex wiring harness with fuses, etc. for the electric controls.
Please note that these models are technically so elaborate that always something has to be repaired if really everything should work.
As it is the case with a real classic car that is over 50 years old!
The dimensions of the wooden pedestal are 38 cm x 107 cm.
The model can be collected near Aachen, Germany. Shipping is possible upon consultation, but it will cost approx. €100.
