This antique sculpture is a Nandi. The Nandi is a humped animal from Hindu mythology and fulfils the function of a riding animal for the goddess Shiva.
The figurine was manually coloured and hand-carved. The figurine is made of solid wood.
The age of the figurine is estimated to be around 200 years.
It is an antique and decorative object.

The right horn has a crack but is still attached to the rest of the sculpture. With several worn spots due to its age, however, this is what gives the figurine its particular charm.
