An attractive full leather edition of the psalms set to music, with Tenor, Bass, Alto and Descant, for the reformed church of Holland.
Binding is in attractive condition. Gilt designs to the edges of the boards. There is some rubbing to the edges. No titles to the spine.
Inside, the hinge is weakened at the front board, but still ok. It is possible that an end paper is missing, becuase the book begins at the title page. Owner's pencil name etc. to the inside paste down. The first few pages seem a little loose and chipped to the edges. Signed to the verso of the title by the Burgemeester of Haarlem Jand Van Der Roest. The binding is slightly loose but holding to the end of the book also.
Then follows a full period notation of each of the 150 psalms, followed by a number of other songs, poems and pieces of gospel set to music, and ending with an index.
Unpaginated, but the register is *4, a-i12, h-t12.
