Unique painted pendulum glass (1) - Glass
Probably Norway possibly Germany - 19th century

A very special garland glass. A mill depicted on the chalice and on the backside a flower. The painting in enamel paint. The stem of the glass has a red garland around an opaque white network spiral. The foot is also decorated and at the bottom of the foot there is a clearly cut off pontil. The glass is in an excellent condition, no chip or break. The enamel images on the glass are, especially given their age, in a very good condition. The glass has been assessed by glass and ceramic expert Kitty Lameris of the company Lameris in Amsterdam during the recordings Tussen Kunst en Kitsch in Kemzeke on 13 May in Kemzeke, Belgium.
