Description
Jean-Louis Domecq - Jielde - table and wall lamp (1)
France - 1950-1959 - Steel

Ultra rare Jielde 'clamp lamp' that can be either a wall/ceiling lamp or a desk/table lamp. Designed by Jean Louis-Domecq the great French engineer in Lyon in the 1950s. This is a completely authentic, original articulating industrial lamp from the famous Jielde' Collection. It is a very rare example because in addition to the normal round mounting base it also has a clamp that will fit to a table or desk.
In great condition for its age and factory use. This lamp has a wonderful -grey steel patina.

A careful balance between shape, material and function. Vintage, yet modern, timeless and classic. A much sought after piece by traders and interior designers. A lamp that continues to increase in value.

The metal teardrop switch is on the base of the fitting.
