Carriage clock - Jaeger - Leather - 20th century

Description
Carriage clock - Jaeger - Leather - 20th century
Mechanical - 8 day movement - Alarm function

The most famous travel alarm clock by Jaeger, the ADOS from the 1920s.
This one has been personalized for the the Hausmann store in Rome.
This alarm clock appeared in a Rodolfo Valentino film, on his nightstand, and was apparently one of the great actor's favourite clocks.
Movement with 8-day power reserve and alarm function.
I don't know when it was last serviced. It all functions, but I don't know how accurate it is.
Original, Art Deco-style Radium dial, very rare with long stick-like markers.
Superior, high-end Jaeger movement, mono-control, i.e. all the functions are controlled by one single crown.
Superb leather case printed with a typical JLC motif, the original from the period.
Size (closed): 11 x 6.5 cm, this is the large size sometimes called 'Jumbo'.
Some signs of age on the leather case covering. Some gaps in the covering.
VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION.
