A portrait by the painter Di Dio (1951-1992) whose works are hardly available.
After an initial phase in which the artist dealt with urban landscapes, Di Dio began to make predominantly female portraits that received numerous critical acclaim in those years.
In his biography we read that he performed from 4 to 8 portraits per year, very few, and this is why it is rather rare to find them for sale.
His mastery in the proportions of faces and in the use of nuances is even more enhanced by his undisputed ability to give expression to the subjects he paints.
The work was framed with a beautiful frame in gold-leafed wood.
