Louis XVI period lady’s secretaire in precious wood marquetry.
Front opening in the lower part by 3 drawers without crossbar, signifying a work of very high quality.
In the upper part a flap discovering a beautiful internal theatre with drawers and a leather work surface.
Sienna marbled stone top surmounting a final drawer trimmed with a copper band.
The marquetry with geometric decorations is fabulous and the flap adorned with a vase of flowers in a cartouche that completes the whole.
Beautiful Parisian cabinetmaking.
With adjustments of later date.
To be attributed and compared to Schlichtig's work.
