Wilhelmus Hermanus Catharina Theresia (Wim) Suermondt (born Ravenstein 1927-2008) was an artist and teacher of artistic education. He was seen as the most famous postwar artist of Waalwijk. The whole city/region has his work on display. He made work on paper: drawings, sketch designs for wall sculptures, but also printed works, birth cards, Christmas cards, especially on assignment. He was versatile:
he also made monumental objects, but also minor watercolours. He painted both abstract works and devout, religious scenes. He worked with stained glass and designed tapestries and jewellery etc. etc.
Also on display: a truck of moving company C. Pot which still exists.
