Claude-Emmanuel L'Huillier, known as Chapelle, was born in 1626 in the Quartier de la Chapelle, where his name comes from, and died in September 1686 in Paris, he was a poet and a man of letters. François Le Coigneux de Bachaumont was born in Paris in 1624 and died in 1702, he was also a poet. This book is the account of the joyful journey to Provence and Languedoc that Chapelle and Bachaumont took in September 1656.
