padlock (1) - Iron (cast/wrought) - First half 17th century

Description
padlock (1) - Iron (cast/wrought) - First half 17th century
France

Rare large-sized padlock of French origin, in wrought iron with its own key, perfectly working.

Dating back to the 17th-century.

For enthusiasts and collectors.

To close and open the padlock, insert the slide into the upper part all the way down to the bottom, thus hooking the padlock and then closing it. To open it, use its key and make sure that the key pin fits into the rear hole of the padlock. Once the key is in place, exert a slight clockwise pressure so that the slide comes out, unhooking from its seat and thus allowing the opening.
A beautiful object that will certainly enrich your collection. Even nicer than in pictures.
