Particularly rare desk chair by Jakob & Jozef Kohn.
Manufactured in Budapest, Hungary.
Marked with label and is also brand-punched: "Nolesov, J&J Kohn".

J. & J. Kohn founded 2 factories in Wsetin and Litsch around 1860 after Michael Thonets patents on the production of furniture made of bending wood had expired. Here, they started with the production of curved furniture. Eight factories soon followed in present-day Poland and the Czech Republic, so that around 1873 almost 3000 people were working for the production company and they were one of the biggest competitors of the Thonet brothers.

Old screws still present.
Nice drawing on the seat, on it, however, an old circle is still partly visible. See the photo.
