Irénée Rochard (1906/1984) - Sculpture "Panther" Silver Bronze

Description
Irénée Rochard (1906/1984) - Sculpture "Panther" Silver Bronze
France - 1920-1949 - Silvered bronze

Charming animal sculpture, Art Deco period: " Panthère déambulante" - signed: ROCHARD - silver bronze subjects (with some signs of wear under the rear thigh - see last picture showing the bronze colour) on an Belgian solid marble (black) oblong base.
Look at this magnificent panther strolling quietly from its majestic phlegmatic gait, so felines. Stocky limbs and superb head. A very purist definition for a mythical creation, hard to find in vintage edition, especially with the silver patina that definitively contributed to the immense international fame of the Master.

Don't let this sublime iconic panther run away; a panther with a spectacular presence from all point of view - elegant and fascinating - in great danger of scarcity.

Signed: ROCHARD on the base - vintage creation ART DECO - 1920/1930 - in mint condition. Note: two small chips on the terrace (see photos)
