Jan Wessels (1945) - Bloemstilleven

Description
Jan Wessels (1945) - Bloemstilleven
Oil on hardboard - Hand signed - 20e eeuw

Beautifully painted flower still life, signed J. Wessels at the bottom left.

As a painter, Jan Wessels is predominantly self-taught, which earned him a unique style. Topics vary a lot and during his wanderings through nature new ideas always arise. Nature is, as he says himself, inexhaustible as a source of inspiration for four seasons, you just have to choose from it. He still prefers the Dutch landscape with the wildlife that it contains, which he can actually observe and study.

Jan Wessels has had various publications and exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad, and was the winner of the "wild in nature" trophy (Art House of the East) in 1989, 1993, 2010 and 2011.

He has been selected 8 times for the prestigious "Birds in Art" exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. Two paintings were purchased by the museum for their own collection.

Will be carefully packaged and shipped by registered mail.
