Ada fetishes are ritual objects of the voodoo cult, used by the Ewe and the Dangme of Ghana, who live near the Togolese border.
These are usually materialised by small wooden figures, animals, daily accessories, or stools, etc...
These figurines are responsible for interceding with the various deities, invoked in order to offer protection, luck, and prosperity to the followers
throughout their personal and family lives, as well as their everyday activities (hunting, trade...)
Although these pieces were very little studied and documented, there is an important publication, exhaustively researched and richly illustrated.
