Good condition, used with some signs of wear

Throwing Knife in the form of a “reversed F”, used by the Sara peoples who live in the southeast and in the north of Chad (Musgum, Mama).
Local name: Ila-Kaga (lion’s tail).
Classification of Westerdijk: S.P. I - 6
Iron blade with a decoration of waves, perpendicular to the blade’s axis, on the recto at the level of the top branch, and on the shaft on the two parts, separated by a central crest. The same is true for the verso of the top branch. The shaft on the verso is flat.
The handle is wrapped with leather tie.
This type of weapon was destined to be thrown vertically, it was carried on the shoulder or in a bag made of skin, with 3 to 7 other weapons of the same type (last picture).
Good condition, with traces of wear, oxidation and antiquity, quite usual for these sorts of weapons.
