John Ridgway - Pair of English porcelain compotes (2) - Porcelain
U.K. - 1830-1837

Two antique early 19th century richly painted and raised with gold leaf porcelain centrepieces, 1 has a chip on top of the standing ring, only visible if you hold it upside down.

Well marked (photo) underside porcelain and marked photo 9 by the painter photo 10.

The centrepieces have very good gold leaf with little loss. Made of 2 pieces which were screwed together, see photo. The one on the charger is slightly smaller than the other in terms of height.

Original and not restored.
