Door handle with rosette and locking mechanism from the 18th century. Beautiful cast-iron door handle with an arm with hand. Beautiful rosette that fits well. The door handle is connected to a round iron rod with screw thread which comes through a rectangular iron plate. The rod is attached with a square nut. By turning the handle, a sturdy metal closure is moved up and down between 2 steel springs. (See the photos). The metal fastener has a round steel knob with which the lock can be opened on the inside. A bit rusty due to old age, but still in a good and usable condition.
