Jaak (Jacques) Neve born in Sint Niklaas is a sculptor, painter, gouache maker, graphic artist and collagist. Training at the Academy in Sint-Niklaas, where he became a teacher (1968), and at the NHISKA.
Jacques Neve wants to unite objects, which are diverse in nature, character and family. Accidental encounters sometimes lead to life long bonds, but like life itself they exist necessarily in an exciting balance. Composing refers to bringing harmony between things that are different in essence. Although all objects retain their own identity, they adapt themselves to the plastic importance of the whole. Their existence now serves as a supportive element of a whole entity.
