Up for auction: A very rare, gorgeous antique imperial egg (Vinaigrette) or “Pomander” egg. Two screw-on closures. For fragrances and possibly makeup or other substances. Outside with geometric ornamental allover decor. Beautiful silver work. Probably made in the mid-18th century. No hallmarks, as it is often the case with pieces from this period.
Weight 20.6 g. Height approx. 3.5 cm, maximum width approx. 2.5 cm.
