BIOGRAPHY
Pupil of G. Di Chirico at the Naples Art Accademy, he carried on studying paintng in Rome at the ateliers of Roman and foreigners artists, but basically he was a self-taught painter .
Then, returned to his native country, he painted for a few years Amalfi 's land/sea/town/scapes and populance life .

The long stay (1897-1903) in Paris and Boldini's influence turned his style into an impressionist one and his old subjects into Paris scapes and into elegant bourgeois women portraits .

AGE : 1885-95
This watercolour, very well-finished and delicate, - both for subject and style - is very rare as it belongs to the artist's Youth (when he was deeply influenced by Di Chirico who loved to paint rural customs) and before his Parisienne turning-point .

Conditions : in good conditions.
