Hereby I offer an original Great Seal of Karel I, King of England (1600-1649) which depicts him sitting on the throne with his sceptre in the right hand. The wax seal served to stamp important royal documents, papers, and letters. It also guaranteed that an envelope or a door were not opened and/or relocked without authorisation.

Framed in a wooden frame behind glass.

The material of this wax seal is a resinous material, which is used in particular for the manufacture of wax seals, which serve as a guarantee for the authenticity of a letter or for sealing letters and parcels.
