Reinier Lucassen is a Dutch painter. He is a representative of the current called new figuration (new vision). In 1986 he represented the Netherlands in the Rietveld Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.
In 1966 Lucassen worked together with Etienne Elias, Raoul De Keyser and Roger Raveel while painting in the castle in Beervelde.
A famous painting by Lucassen is titled: "Een gezellig hoekje". The Dutch Public Art Conservatory (Openbaar Kunstbezit) made a reproduction of this work for the Dutch railways, displayed for many years in small scale in most regional trains.
