They have a simple form that lends itself well to any decor. They were manufactured in c.1850’s,

Brass has been known to mankind for many centuries. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Variations in the color of brass are a result of different proportions of the dark red copper and white toned zinc. True gold color of brass is 83% copper and 17% zinc.
