Strongbox - Steel, Wood - First half 19th century

Rare safe, was used to transport herbs, the gold of the 18th/19th century. On 3 sides you can attach a lock. The inside of wood seems to be younger, probably replaced due to the test of time. The patina of the vault has traces of wear. If you open the vault, you will encounter a metal protective plate. If you remove it (by means of a screwdriver, to push the lid up) you come across a wooden lid. Then comes the place where the spices were kept. The dimensions are 46.5 x 26.5 x 26.5 cm. Please note, the weight of this safe is 32 kg! This can not be mailed, if you choose a courier service, it will be packed before shipping (after appointment with the seller).
