Biedermeier salon table from ca. 1825, birch, cherry wood, shellac, antique
An authentic Biedermeier antique with the typical style from this period, probably from the Southern German area, ca. 1825. Flamed birch veneer, cherry wood veneer, partially ebonised.
Plate with a star veneer with simple thread inlays in the ebony. Central medallion, both on the plate and also on the base, also in ebony. Ebonised edges.
Hexagonal centre column with cherry wood veneer, tiered and curved, complete with ebonised trim.
3 voluted legs in birch are resting on a flat triangular-like base also with thread inserts in the ebony, like the top plate. The base itself is standing on ebonised blocks.
Restored and ready to be used in the home. The surface has been polished with shellac.
