Rare antique Negretti & Zambra London weather forecaster.
This brass weather forecaster from 1915 with patent number. 6276 consists of three round engraved discs with instructions for use on the central disc.
This device provided the first opportunity to get an accurate weather forecast in a simple way.
The outer ring is first set to the wind direction, indicating whether the wind is increasing, decreasing or stable. Then the central point on the centre disc indicates the barometric pressure and then you can read the weather forecast on the cut-out part.
This desk weather forecaster with original stand has a diameter of 12 cm and weighs 315 grams
