From an early age he immediately asserted an independent position in an artistic world influenced by the Neocubist movements of the immediate post-war period. He moved to Milan in 1952 and came into contact with the historic avant-gardes, his works started showing informal features with surrealist elements. At the end of the 1960s, his painting retrieved the objective data of the image. All the greatest Italian and foreign critics have written and spoken about this painter, sculptor and engraver.
