Imari chawan (lidded bowl) with playing children and Ming Jiajing mark - Japan - ca. 1760-90

Japanese Imari bowl with lid ("chawan" in Japanese), decorated in underglaze blue as well as overglaze enamels. Decorated with children at play.

Diameter 10.5 cm (4"), height 7 cm (3"),

Marked "Dai Min kasei nen sei" - a spurious Chinese Jiajing reign mark.

Very good condition.
