Stunning pair of mid-Victorian silver plated octagonal candlesticks richly engraved with an ornate scroll and floral design.

Made by Elkington & Co of Birmingham, one of the most important names in British silversmith history. The company received commissions from Queen Victoria and won the Gold Medal of Excellence at the Great Exhibition in Crystal Palace, 1851.

Marked with date letter "L" for 1850.

22 cm tall
12 x 12 cm at base

The candlesticks are in great antique condition. There is some light wear to silvering and small dings; the edges of the bobeches are slightly dented.

The candlesticks will be sent fully insured with a tracked courier.
