French Flintlock " coffret" Boxlock pistol 1 first Empire, circa 1790 , Checkered walnut stock Steel " box lock" body, no proof marks , eightfold barrel. The mechanism is ok working in both armed and security, springs strong including frizen spring.General aspect is agreeable. Body decorated with vegetalist motifs finely engraved, seems any kind of security missing?Steel rod,Top jaw screw thread loose .A little bit affected by moisture being hardly cleaned.
