ETALEUNE Paris France - Vase (1) - Glass

Description
ETALEUNE Paris France - Vase (1) - Glass
France

Superb vase with ovoid shape in frosted acid-etched glass with Art Deco-era decorations of interlacing shapes and stylized flowers, signed ‘ETALEUNE, Paris, France’ in very good condition, manufactured by the ‘ETAblissements LEUNE’. The Leune glass factory was located in Paris. From 1900 to 1930, it produced objects and vases made of blown/pressed/moulded glass. Paul Daum, son of Auguste Daum, is said to have led the company in the early 1920s. But it was particularly the company’s art director Auguste Claude Heiligenstein who created a large number of models between 1923 and 1926. Like many glassworks, Leune closed down after the financial crisis of 1929. Careful shipping with track and trace.
