Fireplace trim (1) - Earthenware, slip

Description
Fireplace trim (1) - Earthenware, slip
France

Fireplace decor made of ceramic slip, late 19th century, marked under each foot, consisting of a planter and two vases on a stand. They often adorned a fireplace at that time but they can easily be placed on a piece of furniture to highlight the whole set. The neck has a polylobed edge and the brown handles are in the shape of dolphins. The body has a blueish green background decorated with polychrome flowering branches in relief. The interior which is also blueish, is enamelled. Note, there are some small lacks on the flowers but this is relatively normal given how old this lovely set is. Each vase will be well-protected and placed in a separate box for shipping, which will be with tracking of course.
