This Philips radio receiver type 461A (Ouverture) in beautiful bakelite casing, was made in 1937. It was a part of the “Nieuwe Symphonische Serie” from Philips.
The exterior, the buttons and the radio cloths are original, but the missing type plate has been replaced by a repro plate. The price of this radio device at the time was Hfl 98.50.
The power cord has been replaced for a textile-covered cord with the original power plug and counter plug.
The appliance functions and plays on all bands, namely KG, MG and LG and is also equipped with variable tone control; This radio also has a full sound because of the large loudspeaker.
