Very Rare Letiz :
Sliding device for focusing on Leica wired cameras.
One of the disadvantages of telemetry cameras is to adjust the viewfinder angle of view relative to the lens for different distances where the object to be photographed can be found. While it was possible to make rangefinders with great capacity to cover this aspect, the Achilles heel of these systems was unable to do so in close-ups when the difference in the two different angles became unmanageable, or the macro photography.
This slider was developed by Leitz precisely to solve this problem. It consists of two trays connected to support the camera and the lens, placing the camera in front of a hole where the object can be seen in a focusing screen. Since the device must be attached to a tripod or other fixed base, once the frame is resolved, the tray slides until the camera is facing the lens without moving the lens, ensuring the framing chosen.
