Early 19th century sturdy handmade Dutch silver needle case.
The sleeve is hand-decorated with a ribbed design and is also provided with a silver cartouche/heart.
The needle case has beautiful Dutch hallmarks and is marked in several places with the silver hallmark of the old sword, as was used from 1814 to 1906.
It also has a maker’s mark.
This is a large needle case with a width of 8.9 cm and a length of 1.2 cm.
It has a very beautiful, perfectly closing screw cap which is also hallmarked.
In very beautiful condition (some minor signs of wear)
Due to its size and exceptionally beautiful detailed embellishments, the needle case is a striking and decorative object.
Naturally, it is also suitable for everyday use.
