Background information:
Urano Palma (1936-2010) was born in Varese, Italy. After walking through many Italian cities, he cautiously got into various artistic Avantgarde movements and settled in Milan where he was given the opportunity to meet great artists, such as Lucio Fontana.

Since the 1960s Urano Palma participated in several ZERO-exhibitions.

During his career of more than fifty years Urano Palma had exhibitions in Germany (ULM, Munich, Düsseldorf), in France, Spain, the United States and Korea, where he was elected together with eight other sculptors to represent Italy for the Olympic Games in Seoul with a cast iron work, which is currently in the Permanent Museum of contemporary art.

In Korea, Pusan, he completed an 8 meter high copper work, made for the international art exhibition organised by the Korean government.

There are some light stains and scratches, which are negligible in the whole. Take a good look at the photos for an accurate impression of the lot on offer.
