Relic of St. Maximus Martyr, ex ossibus, dated mid-18th century.
Inside the relic, the scroll reads: ‘Ex Ossib. S.Maxime.M.’, that is, ex ossibus of St. Maximus Martyr.
The glue that used to secure the bone to the fabric dried up and the bone is no longer glued.
Very ancient relic of a Christian martyr.
The threads and wax seal are intact.
Dimensions: 5.2x2.6x0.7 cm
