From 'Grand-mère avait le même' (Grandma had the same).

Chinese god with a sabre under the arm, lacquered red burgundy wood and gold coloured by sheet. presented over a plexiglas black pedestal.

Origin: China. Republican Period 1915/1949.

This god is part of a group of eight Dharmapala, (Chos skyiong). This gods have the mission of defending and maintaining the Buddhist law. These are fierce and warrior-looking characters that fight against the enemies of the Law and the bad spirits.

Condition: Very good condition, traces over the gold plating, nothing missing.
Overall in Very good condition, traces of wear on gilt.
Dimensions: H: 38 cm, l: 9 , L : 11 cm.
