Another rare Russian pre war camera this FED 1 (B) with 4 serial number.
It's a 35mm rangefinder camera (it's a copy of the Leica II), made in Ukraina between 1935 and 1937.
This model of FED 1 (B) comes with accessory shoe, around 2000 cameras was made of this version.
This camera still has 4 serial numbers: 8828 (very nice) and also the lens, a uncoated 50mm F:3.5 has 4 serial numbers 9246.
For its age the camera is in good condition, with some light signs of use, as is possible to see from the pictures.
The shutter isn't in working order because, I think, that a curtain was unglued from the drum, but we have preferred not to change them because we think that they can be the originals.
The rangefinder has a low contrast and it isn't well calibrated.
The lens is in exc++++ condition, but it has scratches on the front elements and also inside.
It comes with film spool, a front cap and a case (I don't know if it's the proper).
A nice and rare camera, a great item for the collector of Russian cameras or Leica copies, but also for the Leica collector.
Not many cameras, of this version, are know.
