Metallic meteorite of Class IVA octahedrite.

The first one was discovered in 1906 by two children looking after cattle near the village of Kitkiojarvi; to kill time, they were having fun stamping their feet on stones, when the foot of one of the children made contact with a heavy, rusty object.
They took the iron out and brought it home. It was later identified as an iron meteorite and was described by Högborn (1910) as Muonionalusta.

Meteorite pendants are fragile.
Don't be watered, dry immediately if you make it wet.
If the item gets rusty, use a toothbrush with toothpaste to scrub it and put some oil on the surface.
