Punch ladle, George II punch ladle finely decorated and engraved (1) - Wood (Ebony) and Standard Silver (about 70g) - England - 1727-1760
Excellent condition - barely used with minimal signs of aging & wear

English Punch ladle made of standard silver with decorated ebony handle (total weight approx. 70 g), the silver part is finely decorated with floral and geometric engravings/ inlays, with a ‘coin’ where is depicted the face of King George II (which sets the dating around the second half of the 18th century). Handle and silver part in very good condition and perfectly preserved. Silversmith’s mark is not present, however the item reacts to solvent for silver (probably 925 Standard Silver). Dating and English origin are confirmed by engravings and symbols on the central coin, the item is also similar to other items on the web that can be dated to the 18th century. Object coming from private collection, in excellent condition, there are only small signs due to age and time passing. Pictures show the details of the item and are an integral part of the description.
