This fine Art Deco vase was designed around 1935 by the Verreries de Scailmont, and nowadays is near unobtainable in this combination of clear and matted glass. A must-have for every Art Deco enthusiast.
This design is sometimes attributed to the German factory of Walther, but this vase indeed originates from Belgium.
It is in very good condition without any damage, chips or scratches. As is the case with nearly all Art Deco glass objects, it shows some traces from the production process: a couple of microcracks and a few air bubbles.
The vase has an elegant shape with a beautiful interplay of lines, with at the bottom a contrasting section featuring a mosaic pattern in matted glass. This is a rare design. The vase is 24 cm high with a diameter of 15 cm (top) and 9.5 (bottom).
