Passed away: 11 March 1938, Zeist.

Zakkendragershuisje, Rotterdam Delfshaven:
The reverse of the paper is blank. Wide margins. With brown mat. The paper of the etching is not intact. It has restored tears that are fixed with acid-free repair tape. The old acidic tape has been removed. Please see the photos for details.

Draught horse on the quayside:
in good condition. Framed in nice frame/behind mat.
Limited edition: 30 copies. Dated 1913.

Jan Sirks (Rotterdam, 23 February 1885 - Zeist, 11 March 1938) was a Dutch graphic designer who mostly created paintings, watercolours, drawings and etches of the Rotterdam harbours, animals, cityscapes and landscapes in a romantic realistic style. Sirks was co-founder of the Rotterdam artist group “De Branding”.
